  • How would you define your region's tourism potential ?
    The fact that Danube is a part of Calarasi county gives the opportunity to develop a special tourism activity, but not enough exploited in the present
  • Does the geographical and/or historical specificities of your region offer potential for certain forms of tourism?
    Yes. The main objective is the Danube, with its hidden beaches, wild forests on banks and a rich fauna. The cruises on Danube became more and more popular and this means a great develop for the region services suppliers. The tourism potential of the villages ,the lakes and forests can’t be missed and the region development will bring tourists drown by natural beauties of these places.
    In Calarasi County were we also find the old pastoral cycle ,there is a great number of important archaeological settlement . For these archaeological settlements international teams of archaeology came to our county.
  • What does your region do about that?
    Protect the natural monuments ,organise Danube cruises and land cruises and promote the region and tourism projects like Danube Park.
  • What tourism infrastructures and facilities does your region offer?
    • The length of the public roads: 1.175 km (382 km – national roads and 793 km – county and communal roads).
    • Double and electrified railway Bucharest – Constan_a.
    • Highway Bucharest – Lehliu – Drajna – Fetesti – Constan_a.
    • Cargo and entertainment river transportation is provided by the Danube through Calarasi and Oltenita harbors.
