The EU should offer more financial aid in the form of grants for pre-accession and new member states to develop the potential of their tourism and rise to the European standards of quality. Also, the EU should help establish guidelines and draw up strategies in tourism and offer technical assistance for their implementation, taking into account local specificities and help organise conferences, meetings to exchange know-how and find partners.
