    Our region considers that AER can help through its network in achievement of some experience exchange which can contribute to the tourism development.
  • Has your region EU support for tourism?
    1. “Development of tourist area Luna Ses-Borsa”
    The aim of the project is the realization of infrastructure for the development of a resort for summer-winter (winter sports, entertainment activities) in Negresti Oas area.
    The project is now being implemented; it started in 2005 and will be completed next year.
    The project will have the following result:
    - modernization of road DC 7, accesses, parking lots
    - ski track, tele-chair
    - supply with electrical energy
    - water supply
    - sewerage and purifying station
    - salubrity base

    2. “Modernization of visiting standard at Open Air Museum from Oas Land”
    The project has been financed through PHARE 2001 – Economic and Social Cohesion Program, Scheme for grant for small infrastructure projects. It started in 2002 and it will be completed in September 2007.
    The project proposes itself to save the values of the cultural patrimony from the North-Western part of the country, especially Oas Land area, which nowadays, because of the insufficient financial resources, are liable to a continuous degradation process.

    3. “Balneary Park in North-West Region – locations Tasnad, Beltiug, Marghita”
    The project has been financed through the Program PHARE 2004 – 2006 Economic and Social Cohesion, Scheme for grant for large scale regional infrastructure projects.
    The aim of the project is the modernization and rehabilitation of support infrastructure for development of thermal tourism in the North-West Region, in locations Tasnad, Beltiug and Marghita through their integration in a balneary park, which will represent a competitive offer in the national tourism. The project started in 2005 and now is enclosed in the list of regional infrastructure projects which will be prepared in order to be financed through PHARE 2005-2006 Program.
  • What should be the role of the EU in tourism policy?
    • To stimulate the co-operation in tourism field between local, regional, national authorities and economic private operators and also outside the national borders
    • To outline some directives for the sustainable development of tourism
    • To support financing projects in the tourism field through Structural Funds
